Wedding Venue Sound Checklist
1. Where will the DJ set up?
Confirm the designated DJ area with your planner or venue coordinator. We prefer to set up near the dance floor and position the speakers close enough to guests for clear sound without turning the volume up too high.
2. Where are the power outlets?
Send us the venue floor plan before the event. Outlet locations vary, and the plan helps us confirm where the equipment and power will be.
3. Does the venue have sound limits or an end time?
Ask the venue about its decibel limit and required end time before you book. We’ve worked with venues that have sound restrictions, and some have a strict cutoff.
4. When can equipment be brought in?
Confirm the load-in route, including whether there’s a loading elevator, and when we can access the space. Setup is often on the wedding day, though a larger setup may need access the day before.
5. Does the outdoor ceremony need a second sound system?
Tell us where the ceremony will be and how many guests you expect. One sound system is usually enough, but a second may be needed depending on the guest count and layout.
6. What happens if it rains?
Confirm a rain plan with your venue before the wedding. The couple and venue typically coordinate the backup location; we’ll need to know where the ceremony and equipment should move.
